We’re pleased to share that we’ve recently upgraded both our X-ray and ultrasound machines at Chichester Vets. These new systems are designed specifically for veterinary use and are already helping us work more efficiently, make faster diagnoses, and provide an even higher standard of care.
What’s New?
Digital X-ray
Our previous X-ray machine had been in use for over 20 years. While it still worked, it had become slow and outdated, with lower-quality images and a less efficient workflow.
The new XenOR system provides near-instant, high-resolution digital images. It’s also designed to operate with a lower radiation dose while still delivering the detail needed to diagnose fractures, orthopaedic conditions, tumours, and soft tissue disease more effectively, all in-house.
Ultrasound
We’ve also replaced our older portable ultrasound unit with the ProPet60, a modern scanner equipped with HD probes and animal-specific imaging presets. It allows us to examine internal structures with far greater clarity, helping us to detect conditions such as abdominal tumours, cardiac issues, and reproductive conditions earlier and with greater accuracy.

This is part of our ongoing investment in the future of the practice, ensuring we remain equipped to meet the needs of both pets and their owners, and continue to attract a high quality of staff, now and in the years ahead.
A portion of the funding for this upgrade came from the Rural England Prosperity Fund, which provided a grant towards the new equipment. We were able to receive this with the support of Chichester District Council who worked closely with our recently appointed Practice Manager, Daniel Bulbeck.
